"So You Think You Can Dance: Scandinavia" was copied from its American counterpart, So You Think You Can Dance, which was the original show. It is a dance competition and a reality show. It was started by Sweden in association with Norway and Denmark. Swedish TV station 'Kanal 5' was the primary producer of the hit show. History
Originally, before "So You Think You Can Dance Scandinavia" started, both Norway and Denmark had shows on similar lines, with the same concept airing on TVNorge and Kanal5 respectively.
Hosts and judges
There were three different hosts from the three countries for the show - Kicki Berg of Sweden, Vicki Jo of Denmark and lastly Henriette Lien of Norway. Also, there was equal representation of the three countries among the judges. Fredrik Rydman of Sweden, Niclas Bendixen of Denmark and Merete Lingjærde of Norway were the regular judges and Mary Murphy from the US was a guest judge.
Concept

Auditions
There was an audition for participation in the show. The minimum age for participation was set as 16 years. The auditions were organized in the three countries in Stockholm (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Oslo (Norway). The final competition was held in Oslo, which acted as the headquarters.
